The short video contest will generate four Individual Awards and one Final Award.

Finalists: Finalists will be selected by People's Online Daily Australia based on video's viewing volume on social media, video content and production quality to participate in the next stage.

Four Individual Awards: After the short video collection cut-off date, four Individual Awards will be selected by professional judges, including the Best Story Award, Best Experience Award, Best Presentation Award and Best Cooperation Award. Winners will win a certificate, a trophy and a prize of $1,000.

-Best Story Award: The most excellent story with a creative angle. This award aims to encourage participants to dig and tell stories about China or Australia and show the unique understanding towards their topics.

-Best Experience Award: Story showing the most unique or interesting experience about China or Australia. This award intends to encourage participants to experience the local customs and cultural life in the two countries.

-Best Presentation Award: The most creative presentation form to show the theme of “When Koala Meets Panda”. This award aims to encourage participants to show their imagination on creating a video.

-Best Cooperation Award: A cooperation between young people from Australia and China to show the spark of "When Koala Meets Panda".

Final Award: The most viewed individual award video on Chinese social media platforms will win the final "Most Popular in China" Award. The winner will win a certificate, a trophy and another cash award of $ 1,000.
